For more years than I can remember I have
had a yearning to extend my creative expressions beyond writing and music. When I write I imagine dance and colour,
movement and texture. I cannot draw, paint or sculpt very well and so have never truly expressed that side of my creative
vision. For my daughter's 16th birthday, at her request, I bought her a very good digital camera. As is her way,
she began immediately creating beautiful images. Out of her creative efforts I saw opportunity for myself and so, have
taken up photography. Now that I have, I have come to realize that the photographer sees the wonder of creation in even
the the most mundane of objects. A good photograph does not simply capture an image, rather it encapsulates the happening
of some wonderous creative moment. A stroll to the store is now much more of a journey of creative possibility, inspiring
both oral and visual expressions. This page is dedicated to my beautiful Katya, with thanks and infinite love. Enjoy!
